Our Impact

“Going from being a stay at home mom of seven years to a single mom in the tech industry seemed an impossible feat at first. But time and time again, I would show up to CHSWIT events and see women rising up to meet the demands of the industry, breaking into the world of development, and taking ownership of the space. These events and the women I’ve connected with through them helped me to feel empowered to keep pushing through during challenging times when it would have been easy to give up on my own. They bolstered me not to accept the voices from my past that said I was not smart enough, not good enough to make it in the industry. And after nearly three years in the industry, CHSWIT continues to inspire me to strive to be a better developer, a better woman, a better person in tech and in the community.”

- Erin Winstanley, Full Stack Developer, Booz Allen Hamilton
